Separatism And Justice

There is a real and vast difference between the country I come from and e.g. United Kingdom or Spain. And it´s not food or habits of these countries, it´s their large land which is divided into individual countries, and this logically brings separatism.
You can say “why not?” – these countries in countries have their own parliament, their own government, their own language, so why they cannot be countries with all proprieties of a country, and with their own borders? There are many small countries in the world, some smaller that any big city, and there is no problem with it. So the problem is not to create another small country (there´s really no limit of countries that can be created I think), but there´s a problem for a government to admit an “instability” of the whole country, because the central government always wants to keep an eye on its borderline parts. And this especially happens in Spain and it has been happening for many ages, since Madrid has been a capital city – it´s strategic position is obvious and its intention to control those outer parts of Spain is logical: the central government have to control all the country and if it doesn´t, the country would become torn into parts. The central government just want to keep its power and with all the separatism of those outer parts it is not longer possible.
I am not a specialist in the history of Spanish separatism, but it was well said by Spanish philosopher José Ortega y Gasset in early 20s of last century: the central government have abandoned the outskirts of the country, it hasn´t done anything for those little countries – they had to fight for survival during the hard years of crisis which affect especially the rural parts. And this abandonment (actually due to look after central issues, or rather to centralize any issue) was finally the very cause of radical separatism that happens in the strongest way in Euskadi.
I don´t agree with the radicalism in the form of terrorism. There should be a strong public dialogue between the local government, the central government and the radicals. If there is such a dialogue, there wouldn´t be so many victims of terrorism. The terrorists choose this way because of obvious lack of interest in the separation of the central government. But still there are other possibilities how to show our need to be independent. Do we have to kill people to reach our goals? Of course not! But this is something more than killing people – we are killing the parts of the oppressing regimen.
The worst assassinations have passed in 80s and 90s and the terrorists have been sentenced to some 300 years of prison for each of the victims they have killed. So in total, depending in each individual case, some of them have been sentenced to thousands of years in prison. Particularly these days famous released prisoner Inés del Río, was sentenced to 3828 years of prison. But something has changed in penal code since then - the “Parot Doctrine” has appeared (named after one ETA terrorist Henri Parot; maybe you understand it better in this wiki article which is surprisingly more comprehensible than the Spanish wiki article); it treats the possibility to shorten the sentences depending on individual cases, but the maximum of the years spent in prison would be 40. And it could be applied also retrospectively. So our Inés, who should have abandoned the prison in 2008 (thanks to the doctrine), according to this same doctrine should do so in 2017.
But the problem was that the doctrine was applied retrospectively. This retrospective application indeed violate European Convention on Human Rights (particularly articles 5 and 7). So all the prisoners affected should be promptly set on liberty, which at first occurred with the ETA terrorists.
The families of the ETA victims are outraged. But on the other hand, the terrorists have paid for their acts, most of them spent about 30 years in prison. It does change a person, especially intelligent person who fights for independence of his/her country. They should abandon the prison. But they shouldn´t live the life they lived before. The things have changed and maybe now is the right time to open the non-violent dialogue.

Rest in piece of Beniparrell priest

Because of the pitiful situation which has occurred, the local church will pray only for those deceased from Beniparrell whose families demonstrate their iterest for them before the Church.
This announcement appeared these days in the window of the local church in Beniparrell, Valencia, Spain. It considers the deceased peoples’ family members who haven´t paid for the services of maintenance and moreover, their debts have been publically exposed before in form of a little paper sheet put by the local priest in each grave that corresponds.
Maybe to expose the debt of a family publically can help to keep the cemetery well maintained and that was really the point, but it´s a little weird that the church doesn´t have money to keep it itself if one can´t pay anymore for any reason. But it happens all the times – you don´t pay for your grave, we won´t maintain it, and that´s it. But here there is one difference – they have been repairing whole cemetery (like fences, paths and so on). But what? Do I have to pay for something apart from paying my grave? Because these maintenance works normally are included in what you are paying annually for your grave.
And some of the neighbours have already expressed their doubts about the destination of their money.

So first, we have possible illegal demand of the money; then second, if there´s no illegal demand and the money is gathered, there´s a possibility of not using the money in a proper way; and third there´s that “thread” of not praying for the deceased – what this does really mean?
From what I described above follow what is a real purpose of the Church – this is one mere example, but there are thousands of another ones. To be right member of the Church, you have to follow these steps: first – to gather money; second – to gather money in any dirty way you know; third – to use the money as a mean of manipulate people. It is simple and the people will do anything for you because they believe what you are saying.
So the Church maintain the business and in this described case its member just tries to demonstrate this mixing up of business and divinity which has been put to practice for ages! There was a TV program yesterday talking about that and one of the speakers was shocked by this mixing of business and divinity – but this has been happening ever since! Let´s just remember what you obtain for your all life faith (which of course includes financial support of your favourite organization).

In sum, give us your life savings or we won’t pray for you when you’ re dead, you bastard!!

A little bit about me and “Why Narciss On Fire?”

I have never known what I was upon in this world, what I am supposed to do (like a real job I mean, because there´s many things I can do and I want to do everything – that´s my problem), nor after finishing the university .. all that I knew was that I didn´t want to live more in my homeland.

So this is a story about a Czech girl who wanted to make her living in Spain .. and still she is making her living in Spain (but already without any illusion). And while she has been working there as a shop assistant (because with a Master degree of Philosophy you can do absolutely everything in the world) she finally realized she wants to be a philosopher!! What a job.

Being a philosopher doesn´t obviously make your living so you have to work as whatever to keep you alive so that you can be at least minimally progressive philosopher. And that´s it.

I really don´t want to write much about myself because here it doesn´t matter and nobody minds anyway. I would like to focus on the content of my mind and not just on me, myself and I. So I´ll sketch briefly the idea of this blog.

The idea of “Narciss On Fire” was formed already during my studies, when I was making up my personal philosophy step by step. I consider myself a neonarcist in a sense I will try to make clear in some of the next posts.

So from there comes “narciss” as a symbol of narcism while narcissus is also my favourite flower (which is purely coincidencial). With “fire” I mean the eagerness to talk, the anger, just being upset with human stupidity and a good will to shout it out loud. And whenever I set the narcissus on fire, there will be a post about that ..

about this blog

This is the blog of mine, a piece of my mind I would like to share. It should be about anything I consider worth writing about, anything that surrounds me in a way that strikes me, the world we live in or the world we could live in or the world we will never live in. I would like to offer some opinions not alike popular jury’s opinions, not alike majority of people think that“ opinions, and of course not politically correct opinions. I like to say what´s really on my mind but many people don´t want to understand. I don´t actually think they don´t understand – it´s just they don´t want, which is in summary much worse than mere misunderstanding.

So by the means of this page I´m disposed to reveal my own reflections on what they call controversial topics, to offer possible solutions or further discussions of some contemporary issues, and to deal with these themes in a strictly philosophical way. Which means not really to talk with a couple of friends on Sunday afternoons with a teacup in my hand, but rather a further analysis of a problem with a help of specialists of all the ranges connected with philosophy today.

I've chosen English language to communicate here but I am not a native speaker so please excuse any gramatical error you see or feel free to correct me.

So much for now. Wait paciently for the first post.
